PUPIL PREMIUM
Pupil Premium Statement
The Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to help schools close the attainment gap for disadvantaged pupils, ensuring all children have the support they need to reach their full potential. This funding is primarily targeted at pupils who have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any point in the last six years, children in care or previously in care, and children from service families (Service Premium).
At Beaford Community Primary & Nursery School, we are committed to using the Pupil Premium to improve outcomes for our most vulnerable pupils. This funding is integrated into our planned expenditure to provide tailored support and interventions that address both academic and social-emotional needs. Our goal is to ensure all children make good to outstanding progress, as measured by a variety of government benchmarks, including Ofsted inspections, Key Stage assessments, and the Analyse School Performance (ASP) tool.
Funding for 2023–2024
From April 2023, schools receive the following funding for each eligible child:
- £1,455 for primary-aged pupils registered for free school meals in the past 6 years (FSM6).
- £2,530 for each looked-after child (LAC) or child who has previously been in care and left under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order, or through adoption.
- £335 for each pupil from service families (Service Premium).
