Owls Class Trip to Bristol
Owls Class recently enjoyed an exciting visit to Bristol, with the highlight being a tour of the historic John Wesley Rooms at the New Room, the oldest Methodist chapel in the world.
The students explored Wesley's simple living quarters, saw his original writing desk, and learned about his work as both a preacher and a social reformer. Interactive exhibits and hands-on activities helped the class understand the spread of Methodism and Wesley's commitment to education and healthcare for the poor, sparking their curiosity and appreciation for his impact.
After the tour, the group took a short walking tour of Bristol, visiting the harbour and catching glimpses of the city's other landmarks. The trip left the students inspired by Wesley's message of kindness and service, with many reflecting on how they could apply his teachings to their own lives. The combination of history, hands-on learning, and exploration made the visit both educational and memorable for all.
